Health Guarantee
Upon purchasing one of Durden's Labrador Retrievers you assume responsibility of veterinary care and take on a lifetime commitment. If you decide that you can no longer keep your puppy, regardless of its age, you must return him/her to us. We request that you send pictures of hte pupy until he/she is at least 12 months old and inform us of any shows or hunting trials that you compete or place in. We are available for the lifetime of the puppy.
Your puppy is guaranteed to have been dewormed and up-to-date on his/her vaccinations. These will have been done at 6 and 9 weeks of age (providing you didn't pick the puppy up sooner). Vet records are included. Have the puppy seen within 48 hours by your veterinarian and maintain the vaccination schedule until the pup is 6 months of age and fully protected. If you plan on hunting, or if the puppy is to be outside alot, then you know that heart worm and flea preventative is a must.
Hips on the dam's side have Good and Excellent OFA ratings and there are no eye problems. Hips on the sire's side have Normal and Good OFA ratings, also no eye problems.
Hips and eyes are guaranteed for 26 months. You must provide OFA or CERF documents stating that the dog has moderate/severe Hip Dysplasia or Retinal Atrophy/Retinal Dysplasia. You must show that your dog has been spayed or neutered. Prior injury or breeding of the dog voids the guarantee and you must be the original purchaser.
As a buyer, you agree to keep the puppy inside as much as possible, up to date on vaccinations, and reasonably well trained. If the pup is to be a hunting dog then extended time outside for training and hunting is expected and necessary. However, if the pup is to be a family pet or participate in conformation shows, he/she needs to be kept indoors (at least at night). Labs are very family oriented and do not like being alone or away from the family.
If, at any point in the pups life, we believe he/she is being mistreated we reserve the right to take the puppy back after speaking with you about our concerns without a positive outcome. If you give the puppy back for any other reason we will take him/her back with no questions asked.
You will be given a sample of food that the puppy is currently eating. You will also be given copies of the sire and dam's pedigree as well as a collar and all vet records as well as receiving a basic care sheet, training and other helpful information.
This is a contract between the buyer and seller that is binding. Make sure you keep a copy of this for your records.
